BABY CLASSES
What Do I Need To Bring?
Every thing you need for your massage or course is provided. All you will need is your baby, your normal nappy bag and a feed if you are not breastfeeding.

How Old Should Baby Be?
Our Baby Massage and Baby Yoga classes are suitable for babies aged 6/8 weeks (they need to have had their 6/8 week check with the doctor prior to the start of your chosen course) to approximately 7-12 months - or until they start crawling off!  Baby Yoga is more suited to babies with better head and neck control so usually suitable from around 10 weeks.

Babies who are mobile can join the Baby Yoga for Older Babies sessions until they are around 18 months old.

How Big Are The Classes?
We have a maximum of 8 babies per group. This insures we keep a relatively calm atmosphere and is a good sized group for everyone to get to know each other.

What About A Baby Massage or Yoga Group Course At Someone's Home?
Baby Massage courses can be run as a group session and it will be up to the hostess to arrange the time and date with Urban Kneads, and inform her group.  You may have an antenatal or NCT group who wish to learn together and these courses can also be held at my studio rather than someone's home.

If there is a very large group of you, it may be more suitable to look at using a local community room so that everyone has sufficient space during the class. Do contact me if you think this might be the case with your group.

Please contact me directly for details of prices and availability.

What If My Baby Cries In The Class?
It's okay for your baby to cry in the session! Please do not feel anxious about your baby crying in a class - it will not disturb anyone else. Remember everyone is in the same boat. Your baby may be tired or a bit hungry, or have a bit of trapped wind, which may cause them to cry. They may not like a particular move or stroke or maybe they just need a cuddle.

You are free throughout the class to attend to your baby's needs, whether it be to comfort, change or feed her.
